Pocket Training
We need to train every day. Both our minds and our bodies. Over the years I’ve experimented with various ways of making sure I can keep training in all kinds of places and environments. From hotel rooms to airport gates. Whether I have a small space or a large space. Whether I am by myself or out in public. There’s always a way to train.
This is a collection of short quotes from mostly classical works with a short meditation and paired with an overt and a covert training prompt. I have sourced these from Boxing, BJJ, Judo, Sumo, Shuai Jiao, and Iaido. These 12 solo exercises, 6 overt, 6 covert, can benefit anyone who practices just about any martial art. There is a brief description of each in the back.
Read and meditate on the quotes.
The key though is to train your mind and your body everyday. I hope this small book will help you achieve that.
Because I needed to keep the solo training prompts in the back of the book short they may not be quite as descriptive as you might need if you've never done them before.

You can find a playlist with videos of me demonstrating most of the solo drills at the following link.

Additionally, here are few videos from other people I recommend. Watching them will help you learn how to do the training drills more effectively.
